I listened to this most of the time while I wrote Chapter 4 :]
I am really into this story!

Well anyways I finished the fourth chapter so I decided to post the second:

The First Story…

Chapter 2

"Long ago, the exact number of years I must admit I forgot, there were witches and warlocks, kings and queens, princes and princesses, and of course the village people. I knew many of these as my life progressed but starting with my youth I must admit I was not the nicest of brutes. You see I was bigger than most and I used this to my advantage. I remember one time in particular when I was still quiet young, when I was wondering through a random village, now you see there was nothing special about this one, and trust me, the people living there were nothing all that special either. That was, until I saw Sir. Trenton, this man he was strong, and of course brave. He was returning home from a victory of some sort, I could tell. Though exactly what the victory was I wasn’t sure. So reluctantly I walked up towards him, now back then most people didn’t like my kind so my walking towards him did not get much applause. As I approached to see what all the fuss was about, I must admit I made more, people seemed shocked to see me in their little village, their eyes grew wide and several screamed. This caused Sir. Trenton to turn and look at me, his mouth too fell agape but no scream left his open lips. I remember the look on his face well, and it may be because I can not remember a better expression of pure terror or that I could remember it from one other place only, my own village, yes that’s where he had been. No more than two weeks ago, and there he had killed one of my friends, yes I remembered then, and this sent me into a fit of rage, I must have destroyed much of the peoples crops for they soon grew outraged too…"

“Wait long ago?” You say, and I can tell you are confused. “Yes it was not just yesterday that I was a youth my friend.” I reply kindly. “Okay?” You say still confused, “Go on please.” You add politely. I nod.

"Now where was I? Oh yes, they soon grew outraged too; they grabbed pitchforks and clubs. They began to…"

“Pitchforks? Clubs? Are these people mad?” You ask utterly shocked. I shake my head, “Yes they were, and they were outraged. Now can I continue without any interruptions?” I ask slightly annoyed. “I’m sorry, go on.” You say quickly.

"Now, they began to chase me out of town. I ran quickly from them for though I was larger than they, they outnumbered me at least twenty-five to one. I ran quickly into a nearby forest hoping I would be able to lose them. I could hear their shouts but slowly they began to die out, getting farther away until I could hear nothing more. I slowed my pace and was soon stopped under a large Oak tree. I sighed and decided to rest there, sitting under the shade of the tree. I didn’t move, if my memory doesn’t betray me, I scarcely breathed, and I soon must have fallen asleep because I was awoken by the sound of horse hooves. I opened my eyes slowly at first letting them adjust to the bright light. I froze as I realized who it was, Sir. Trenton! I stood and began to run again, he didn’t have the look of pure terror on his face as he had before, oh no, now it was more like the look of pure hatred. He hated me for what? I did not know, and to this day I do not know, but I knew then and still that I needed to run. I ran quickly through the forest, but you see Sir. Trenton’s horse was that given to him by the king himself, so this horse could run fast, very fast indeed, and I grew nervous oh so nervous. I couldn’t keep my balance well and soon I was on my back staring up at Sir. Trenton. I know now, that my face must have resembled that of his only a few hours earlier, I half believe he realized that too for her laughed out loud to himself. I realized his sword was at the tip of my nose, and the only way out of this was to fight. Now my mother like so many before and after her had taught me that fighting was not good manners, and that it only lead to bad things, I wish I could have explained the situation to her as I am to you, for back then I was so young, I explained it all wrong. She believed I started it all, and that it was my fault for what I will tell now. As I realized the sword was so near my nose and that I had only a small chance of survival with him being such a great swordsman and me such a large target, you see size is not only intimidating but makes it easier to spot you, and makes you a bigger target. I quickly thought up a plan, a plan that if it failed would make it impossible for me to be talking to you as I am now. All of a sudden there was a mighty gust of wind, I remember this well, and Sir. Trenton was suddenly on the ground. His horse had turned and was running back towards the village, and his sword was several feet away from him, well out of his arms reach. I moved quickly to the sword, and in one swift move I had the sword through his heart."

“Wait you killed him?” You ask quickly shocked. “Why yes, he had a sword at my throat, besides I thought we agreed no more interruptions?” I reply slightly irritated. “I am sorry, please, please continue.”

"Lets see, ah yes, I froze after this, not only was this and inappropriate type of killing in my village, but had been unarmed. Most people in our village believe this bad taste to attack while they are unarmed. I laugh at them now, as I sit here telling you my story. Though back then I was once again frightened. I quickly turned and ran the opposite direction in which Sir. Trenton’s horse had gone. I headed quickly back towards my village, not even stopping at the little brook for a drink, I arrived just before dark. My mother was sitting outside our dwelling and she quickly ushered me inside. I went inside and she began to fuss, like most mothers do, over how dirty I was. She began to ask questions, and I had to reluctantly answer. There is only one question I can remember by heart, and of course it was the one that made her tell the elders of my deed. I shutter at the thought of it, though the question was quite harmless, I could, and still to this day I cant, lie about something that has happened to me."

You look at me skeptically, “So you expect me to believe you were alive when there were knights, kings, and queens?” I laugh heartily, “Believe what you will, but I am telling you now I do NOT lie about what happened to me in my past, for I have no reason to, it happened and I can not change that.” I reply calmly. You look towards the rain, which is still coming down quite hard, “I guess I will have to listen to this stupid fiction a little longer,” You reply. I laugh, “ So you wish me to begin again?” I ask. “Yes if you would be so kind.” I nod and begin again.

"No as I as saying I cannot lie about my past for what reason would I have. Now back when I was younger I used to believe I would get farther keeping parts a secret so, that’s what I did. I looked my mother in the eye and told her a knight, that I had to fight back, had attacked me and that the knight had ran off. So you see that the little fib I told wasn’t much, but it did keep me from being banished from our village, in fact it made me the idol so to speak. Everyone in my village envied me, they hated me at the same time. They wanted to be me they wished I were dead. Ah I wish I could explain it a little better to you, but I guess it is impossible to explain unless you had lived it. Lets see, the elders were amazed that I had single handedly scared a knight into running away from me. Since most knights are big and brave, and I was still only a youth, does this make sense to you?"

You nod but don’t speak.

"There had never been one so young as I to do this, and still there had not since I had not scared him myself. I went along with it though and not out of pride but out of the fear of what they would do if they realized I was lying. For they wanted me dead when they loved me, but what would they do if they despised me? Strangely after only a few months the excitement of my accomplishment, had died away, or shall I say given way to another youth’s accomplishments. It was strange after several months of everyone wanting to be you, to going to the bottom again. I remember being devastated, I had lied my way to the top and had been knocked down so easily! It would make any normal person irritated. Though it was not long after this that I actually left my village to live on my own."

“Oh look the rain as stopped.” I say smiling. You turn, “Oh it has, I guess I better get back home,” You say clicking the stop button on your phone and saving the story I had just told you, “May I come back again? For another story?” You ask much to my shock and pleasure. “Oh of course friend, I would love to have someone to talk to, you see I live alone and it gets quite lonely. Lets say this time at this place everyday, I’ll give you a different story each day.” I reply smiling kindly. You smile and return your phone to the pocket of your jeans before quickly leaving me alone in the darkness. I smile to myself, “Thanks to my new friend, my story will be heard.” I whisper to myself. I move to a more comfortable position, these days I am always tired. I close my eyes and am soon asleep.
